From the glory days on the PS2, PES and Master League were the perfect marriage.
Tika Taka is one way you can get goals fairly easily but I find constantly passing the ball a bit tiresome and prefer lobbing the ball in for a cross, as it is far more effective. When you think of PES usually the first thing that comes to mind is Master League. Keepers were also very poor in the last version with many long shots just flying right in, I've managed a few in 2017 but nowhere near as many as previous version. There is little to no time at all for shots on goal as defenders close down so fast. I'm hardly conceding any goals, it's the scoring that has been significantly tightened up over the last version. I've found the best way to score is to basically sprint down the wing and cross it in, been using this same tactic for nearly every game, utilising Bellerin and Alaba as wingers makes this quite easy. I've just started my third season of the master league, finished the first season in 3rd place but finished the second one in first place winning the title in the last game of the season on goal difference, a most satisfying result. It does get easier the more you play, when I first started I was getting a lot of games ending in 0-0, but now I'm winning quite a lot. On PES 2016 I found Superstar level far too easy, on PES 17 I have had to start on regular to get used to it.
